The Annual Meeting is the North Carolina Chamber’s flagship event. Historical keynote speakers have included North Carolina Governors, Fortune 100 Company executives, and influential business leaders.

Dr. Nido Qubein 
High Point University

Dr. Nido Qubein came to the United States as a teenager with little knowledge of English, no contacts and only $50 in his pocket. His life has been an amazing success story. As an educator, he is president of High Point University, an undergraduate and graduate institution with 4,500 students from over 51 countries and 44 states. He has written numerous books and scores of audio and video learning programs distributed worldwide. His foundation provides scholarships to 48 deserving young people each year.

To-date the Qubein Foundation has granted more than 700 scholarships, worth over six million dollars. As a business leader, he is chairman of Great Harvest Bread Company with 220 stores in 43 states and past president of the Big South Athletic Conference. Read more of his bio here.

Ronald Brownstein

Mr. Brownstein writes a weekly column every Wednesday on politics and policy for the newspaper's Opinion pages. Regularly, he is called upon to be an analyst for CNN.

Mr. Brownstein has been named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize twice before in regards for his political coverage of the 1996 and 2004 presidential campaigns. Mr. Brownstein is also the author or editor of five books.

From Raleigh Durham International Airport

Follow Interstate 40 West to Exit 282 (Page Road).  Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp. At the first stop light, turn left. The hotel will be at the top of the hill on the left.

From North

Follow Interstate 85 to State Highway 15/501 (Exit 174B). Continue on highway 15/501 to 147 Durham Freeway (Exit 108B) and proceed to Interstate 40 East. Continue on I-40 east to Exit 282 (Page Road). At the end of the exit ramp, proceed through the light. The hotel will be on the left.

From West

Follow Interstate 40 East towards Raleigh. Take Exit 282 (Page Road) and continue straight through the light. The hotel is approximately one quarter of a mile ahead on the left.

From South

Follow Interstate 95 North to Interstate 40 West. Travel on I-40 west to Exit 282 (Page Road). Turn right onto Page Road and then turn left at the first light. The hotel is approximately one quarter of a mile ahead on the left.
